1st step: When you won't ignite please clear out the ash from around the fire pot. The ash is choking the fire. Take out the cooking grill, drip pan and fire pot cover and clean out the whole area with a brush after opening the lid. Use a shop vacuum only if the grill is cold. Start the grill on the "Smoke" setting. If the grill goes out on the smoke setting clean out the ash. This is the first way to maintain overheating or protect from trouble..

2nd step:  If the Traeger grill is new there is no pellets appear to be getting to the firepot. then you have to allow seven minutes for the pellets to get from the pellet hopper through the auger tube to the fire pot. then there wont be created a problem or it's possibility so rare to create problem.

3rd step: You have to check  that the auger isn't binding if the auger makes a noise and or the temperature keeps dropping. remove the allen screw and nut between the auger and the motor shaft and need to run the grill out of pellets .Spin the auger shaft over the motor shaft--it should spin freely without binding. If the auger binds, loosen the bolts on the motor bracket and move the motor bracket until you can rotate the auger shaft. If is the most important way to protect.

4th Step: Wax the entire outside of the grill if you start to see dulling paint. You have to wait until the Traeger grill is completely cold before waxing. Covers can also help protect against weather, dust and scratches.
